Yes, I’m aware. Obviously they would be high security facilities, and obviously they would be shaped by the conditions of the cold war. But it doesn’t change the fact that it was a driving force towards mitigating the nuclear tensions, and that it was based on a radically different approach from America’s attempt to start world war 3. I don't pretend as if it is an idealistic thing, but I maintain this is why we are around today. This opposition ended the cold war.
