That's what I mean though, what exactly has this middle provided? The middle is quite the nasty place. Lincoln was in the middle of slavery and abolitionism, and it resulted in generations of poverty for the poor, and lots of state compensation for the plantation aristocrats. Where is the middle between war and peace? Korean "Police Action" perhaps? I like the extremes more often than not.
With domestic violence there is usually a deadbeat and a woman who is too good for him, I don't mind saying that. With war there is usually military and civilians, and I think the civilians are the righteous party.
I do reject idealism, I think sometimes people are forced into unfortunate situations, but even in such situations I ask: Who is forcing them?
And more often than not, I see two sides emerge, namely the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. The builders and the vandals. And I like the builders.
