Thank you for your kindness, and I do agree with you. Even a lot of the stuff that has admirable ideals, like the landback movement, is poisoned by political lobbyists and NGO funding.
I do think indigenous people should absolutely have self-determination and assemble their own laws and governments just like anyone else.
But I get suspicious about how that looks like when Jeff Bezos is funding pipeline protests because he's got investments in oil tankers and railroads that conflict with pipelines. Even the word "landback" is now a registered trademark belonging to a corporation.
Because at the end of the day when all is said and done, Bezos will have all the power. No matter how sincere the protesters are, they don't have many functional ways to counter his private security and political ties.
