No, that's not what capitalism is by any metric. By that logic, we had capitalism during the bronze age.

Capitalism is about extracting surplus value of labour, and the establishment of commodity forms that exist purely for the purposes of exchange value.

Socialism is an economic system wherein the property relation is defined in such a way as to produce economic goods for the purpose of use value, and to eliminate surplus extraction.
