I woke up to 30+ notifications, and saw a lot of my articles had gotten responses. Some supportive, some which elaborated upon things, and some which were critical.
When I say critical I do not mean the subset who would be insulting or dishonest. Some were smug, and didn’t cite sources, and repeated talking points I addressed in ways which suggest they read the title instead of the text.
But some clearly took the effort to examine what I wrote, and offer sincere and deliberated responses made with concern towards authentic dialogue. I know this takes time and effort, and to put such time and effort into the considerations of the other; of this person you disagree with, I maintain is a wonderful expression of respect to others.
I very much appreciate this, and it has not gone unnoticed.
