And I'm sure strip miners are good at heart too, and they probably have families to feed, but it doesn't change the fact that they leave chemically polluted water supplies behind them that give thousands of people cancer.

Since when does intention matter? If intention is such a good justification for things then I guess Jonestown was amazing.

Moreover, your entire sector of humanity is filling the world with debt, garbage, big banks, vapid advertising and hedonism. What's so good about that? Why do I have to like that? Seeing how corporations break people down as they have to spend their weeks living through an 8 hour dictatorship.

Why do I have to like how publishers control what is or isn't considered culture? That the work of artists is done by salespeople? That beautiful cities that are centuries old are plastered in garish looking billboards that are made to make young women feel insecure.

How radios and televisions that could be used to educate the public and build community, is instead entirely controlled by a bunch of advertising companies who just fill people's heads with violence, mistrust and dumb jingles for junk food and alcohol.

Why do I have to have positive feelings about that just because you mean well? Marketing is a poison upon human civilisation. If you want to do it, then do it. But don't expect me to praise you. It's a miserable state of affairs.
