How to control people and cause mayhem: A Self-Help guide for the criminal mastermind

I should clarify that the title is meant to be funny. Also true of course, I will go in on the dynamics of the so-called Charismatic Leader, and how things like cults and extremist groups actually operate from a philosophical and psychological point of view. So don’t worry, I’m not…

On Intellectual Stupidity

Since the start of my life, I have been cursed with freedom. I have seen the promise of paradise, and I have revealed it as a whisper from the devil. I have been liberated from statehood, legal obligations, labour and civilisation. Cast aside into the peripheries of the lumpenproletariat. …

Philosophy for the layman II: Despair and The Human Condition

Last time in this series of articles I discussed epistemology. Or at least the basics of epistemology. Looking back I think I need to make a follow up later. But I don’t want to bog you too deep into one specific subject, I want to offer some of the more…

Philosophy for the layman I: Epistemology

Recently I’ve studied a man known as John Dewey, an American philosopher with a background in education and psychology. He believed that philosophy was only as useful as its reach. This is known as an instrumental idea. He sees philosophy as a tool or a utility. Kind of like how…

Capitalism against science

If you received an education in a capitalist country, then chances are you were educated towards liberal philosophy. The interesting thing about such a doctrine is how it comes with a presumption of perfection. There is no morality in such an education, because morality is seen as an emotional appeal…

Existentialism or Postmodernism?

I have criticised nihilism and existentialism in the past, and I was never quite fair in doing so. That’s because I believe that there’s no such thing as fairness in philosophy. In fact the very notion of fairness undermines the process of philosophy. Philosophy is the science of radical thought…

Military Doctrine and Neoliberal Ideology

If you grew up in a contemporary capitalist society, listening to contemporary social doctrines, such as those dispersed by the media, by your school teachers, by politicians and by corporations and public relations offices, and think tanks and similar outlets of propaganda, then you have been introduced to a certain…

The universe is extraordinary?
2

Em Dash

The universe is the container of all things.

The universe is the container of all things. Since abstractions are the result of humanity's metaphysical relationship to such a universe, that means even abstractions must therefore be internal. Especially since, on the basis of your own epistemological argument, you do not think the universe has any externalities. Since the universe lacks externalities, and abstractions are therefore internal to the universe, then that must also mean that whatever the Platonic essence of what is ordinary is also without externality.
